At our Beef, Beer, and Bay Bash on March 19th at the Lodge in Catonsville, we presented two 2005 "Formula 4 Success" Scholarship Award winners with their checks, each for $1500.  The winners for 2005 were:

  • James McQuilkin - James is a graduating senior from Atholton High School.  He was their star quarterback, played football, basketball, and baseball.  He served as team captain on the football and basketball teams.  James was a member of the National Honor Society, and Youth Leader in his church.  He is carrying a 4.0 GPA and is ranked 1st in his class.  He's currently undecided as to which college he will attend.  He hopes to major in Journalism.
  • Benjamin Hostetler - Ben is a graduating senior from River Hill High School. He was their star quarterback, played football, basketball, lacrosse and was team captain of all 3 sports. Ben was a member of the National Honor Society and a volunteer with both his church and Young Life. Ben carries a 4.0 GPA.   Ben will be attending Georgetown University and will be playing football for the Hoyas.

Joe Russo of the Howard County Athletic Department accepts the award for Benjamin Hostetler (who was unable to attend the event).  On stage with Joe are Ken Bauer, Mandy Young, and emcee Dean Volmer.
