On January 28, over 4,000 plungers and over 8,000 spectators descended on Sandy Point State Park for the 2006 Maryland State Police Polar Bear Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Maryland. Ravens Roost #4 was represented by plungers Beth Adams, Mitch Hooper, Frank Howard, Bob & Mari Merzendorf, Karen Suter, Frosty Volmer, and Heather Young. Roost #4 raised over $4,300 - the entire Council of Ravens Roosts raised over $60,000! Woo hoo!!! In total, all participants raised in excess of $1,000,000 buckaroos!
