2009 Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts Convention

Ravens Roost #4 descended on Ocean City from May 28th through May 31st for the 2009 Council of Baltimore Ravens Roosts Convention. The weather was great again this year! Sun was soaked-up and suds were slurped by all at the beach.

Thanks to the following people for their time and effort in preparation for and during the convention:

Roost #4 Float - A huge thanks goes out to Joe "The Float Guy" Marciano for once again coordinating the float and pulling the whole thing together. Thanks to Bill Griffin for the use of his 1949 Chevrolet truck and driving in the parade! Thanks to the following volunteers that helped with the conception and construction of the float: Frosty & Ann Volmer, Bill Griffin, Bob Caldwell, Mitch Hooper, Kathy & Joe Marciano, and anyone I missed! Roost #4 was awarded a "2nd Place Award" for displaying the most Roost spirit in the parade.

Karaoke - Thanks again to Katie Pearl for representing Roost #4 in the karaoke and taking home the 1st Place prize! Katie had the whole beach rockin'!

Putt Putt Golf - Thanks to duffers Patti Bolin and Beth Adams for representing Roost #4 in the miniature golf tournament! Friday mornings are tough out on those links!

Women's Volleyball - Congrats to the Roost #4 Women's Volleyball Team bringing-home a 2nd Place trophy! The team included Casey Bonebrake, Anna Golibart, Leslie Pacen, Betty Golibart, and Katie Pearl.

Co-ed Volleyball - Congrats to the Roost #4 Co-ed Volleyball Team for winning their 1st match before running out of gas in the 2nd. The team included Leroy Todd, Anna Golibart, Betty Golibart, Liam & Katie Pearl, & Mitch Hooper.

Dunk Tank - Roost #4 volunteered to coordinate the Dunk Tank for the Council on Friday & Saturday. Thanks to Frosty for coordinating the tank and working all of the shifts!!! Thanks to Anna, Amy, Geoff, Steve, Stevie, Mitch, Karen, Lee, Leslie, Betty, Jaybird, and everyone else who pitched-in for awhile chasing balls and helping Frosty!
Thanks also to the Baltimore Ravens that took time from their busy schedules and joined the Roosts in Ocean City for the weekend - Evan Oglesby, Ben Grubbs, Tavares Gooden, Marshall Yanda, Prescott Burgess, and Joe Reitz!
