All proceeds benefit Special Olympics Maryland
Ravens Roost #4 members Geoff Lakis, Karen Suter, Chris Rives, and Frosty Volmer combined to raise over $2000 dollars for Special Olympics Maryland! Thanks to all those generous members and friends that reached deep into their pockets to help Roost #4 help the special athletes of Maryland. Conditions in the snow and wind were so bad that the 2nd scheduled plunge into the Chesapeake was cancelled due to so many people from the 1st plunge requiring medical assistance due to overexposure to the elements. Fortunately, all 4 Roost #4 plungers were in the water for the 1st round and all escaped exposure issues.
Thanks to Amy Lakis for handling the driving in the snow and wind - the trip home took over 2 1/2 hours - 4-times longer than normal. Those roads were treacherous!
