Personal Thoughts:
Everyone can read the on-line reviews until their hearts content. All reviews border between favorable and neutral, so right now it does not look like we made a bad move with Harbaugh. Personally, I didn't like the candidates, so I will go with the neutral option and see where he leads us. He definitely has the energy and enthusiasm. He wants to be here, and that is someone we want to have.

This week is my annual complaint about the Super Bowl. Why does the Super Bowl always have to be played in a warm weather city or a domed stadium? I was really hoping for Green Bay versus New England to hammer the point home with two borderline arctic teams playing in Sunny Arizona. The Giants aren't a bad choice either, and one could argue what is more neutral than playing these two teams in the tropics. So, instead of just complaining, let me make my proposal, and I have several alternatives to ponder.

First proposal is to give the Super Bowl to the team with the worst record from the preceding season. Okay, so Miami would get it next year, but it leaves the door open. That team can either host or sell the game to some third party city. You give a football boost to a city that needs it.

Option two is to make it a draft choice, so instead of picking up Bernie Schnobel in the 17th round, any team could choose to host the Super Bowl instead.

Option three is let the fans choose. Send a ballot to every season ticket holder in the league and let them vote. Problem is that we would end up in Washington every year since they have the biggest stadium with the most seats and the most season ticket holders, so we require them to pick any city that is not of their home team.

Finally, why not open up an all out auction! That's right. E-bay for the Super Bowl. This widens the pool of host cities to anyone with a valid, approved proposal to host. Highest bidder wins. Why do the owners always get to choose? They want money, then let me have it. Just make sure that the money is in American dollars.

Those are my thoughts. What are yours?
