Commentary

News and Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Mason says he wants to return for 2 more years, but will the Ravens respond to that length of contract for his price?

Baltimore Sun columnist Kevin Van Valkenburg had a real nice break down of positions, needs and candidates, but I could not find the article on line. If you still have it, check out the February 24 column in hard copy.

Orioles: Miguel says he has been practicing at 3rd base. We shall see soon!

Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): No new news.

Alouettes: No new news.

Blast: Thanks to our attendance on Friday night, the Baltimore Blast (7-7) have started a 2 game winning streak. The 12-8 victory over Monterrey (9-7) on Friday Night, was following by the franchises 2nd ever shutout on Saturday Night, as the defeated Rockford (6-9) 9-0. This dropped Monterrey in to 3rd place, ½ behind Milwaukee (9-6), and separated the Blast from Philadelphia (5-7) and Rockford (6-9), of whom they were previous tied for third. The top 3 teams will make the playoffs.

Next game is Sunday in Philadelphia.

Mariners (See website for more details): No New news.

Capitals (See website for more details): U.S.A.

Wizards (See website for more details): This past week, the Wizards (20-35) won home games against Denver and Chicago and dropped a road game to Toronto, before loses at home to Memphis. There are now 3 teams within the conference with worse records. New Jersey (5-52), the Knicks and Pacers (both 19-37). Minnesota (14-45), Golden State (16-40), and Sacramento (18-39) also have worse records.

This week, they are scheduled to host the Knicks on Friday, and then travel to New Jersey on Sunday [DANGER], and then to Milwaukee (27-28) on Wednesday.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
