Ravens Roost #4 Formula 4 Success Scholarship Award Winners:

David Klotz attends Wilde Lake High School, sporting a stellar 3.93 GPA. This standout team captain was the teams starting center, as well a the long snapper for punts and field goals. He contributions earned him a 2008 nominee as Scholar Athlete to the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Football Foundation and Hall of Fame; as well as a finalist in the Raven's Circle of Champions. He was a 2 year All County Player and First Team Center in 2007. He spends his free time in the weight room, while sporting a black belt in Tang Soo Doo (Nobody bothers me!). He was also a Super 22 selection in Spring 2007 and he speaks fluent Spanish.

Kevin Seker attends Marriotts Ridge High School, and also sports a great GPA of 3.36. On the field, he was a 3 year starter and team captain for both Football and Basketball. His Basketball prowess also earned him recognition on the All County Basketball team for 2006-2007, hinting that Football might not even be his strong suit. In the class room, he achieved Honor Roll recognition every quarter for the past 3 years, leading up to his receipt of Student Athlete Academic Honors. He spends his free time volunteering with various activities, supporting the community by working at the Marriotts Ridge Basketball Camp, serving as a Resurrection Mass Babysitter, and helping at at the Catholic Charities Donation Center in Ellicott City. His coach has nothing but good things to say about this outstanding young me, stating that, "Kevin is the preeminent athlete at our school yet he is a humble, polite and gracious young man. He is and outstanding role model for Marriotts Ridge." What more can be said?

Personal Thoughts:
Ravens news: Devard Darling signs with the Chiefs; Phil Savage to get contract extension from Cleveland; and Suggs is complaining because the Ravens used the franchise tag designation of a LB instead of DE, with equates to about $800,000 difference in salary. Suggs has a case and the Ravens should fix the paperwork. Early draft forecasts recommends the Ravens pick another QB, but the actual predictions has other positions, like OT, penciled in. Ravens really need to figure out their QB situation. McNair should be cut, and probably will be if we draft a QB. Boller, Smith, and either McNair or the Rookie will fight it out for starter in training camp, with McNair being cut if he doesn't win the role. Don't be surprise to see him pop up again soon with another jersey.

Orioles news: Orioles are ramping up for the season. Pitching is still shaky, as early season injuries are already starting to show up, and hitting is coming around, but not as much as one would like to see. We are probably just a couple key players away from contending... unfortunately, those key players are probably all starting pitchers... maybe a reliever, but all pitchers.

Mariners news: Mariners started quickly, scoring on their first play from scrimmage, a 45 yard strike, but then fall short, 36-27, against last years AIFA finalist, the Reading express. Next game is Saturday at Florence (0-0).

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyone, so I will just butcher things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
