News and Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Ravens reached agreement with their 5th round draft pick... Players balk at changing schedule to be 18 games with only 2 preseason games.

Orioles: The O's (19-50) continue their incompetence. I watched Friday night as they brought back Alfredo Simon to pitch to 2 batters in the 8th, and strike them out. The O's squeeze out a run in the 9th to go up 2-1, and bring in someone else for the bottom of the inning. Despite the guy struggling in every aspect of the pitching game, they left him in to load the bases and then let the tying and losing run score. Where is the new manager?

Spider Watch: At 19 wins, we still need 1 more wins to catch the 1899 Cleveland Spiders (20-134. I like the pitching matchups this week, and if hitting comes around, we could actually get on a mini win streak. Current projected win total has been upped to 45 wins. Who says you can't go up.

Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): Crystal Palace (3-6-3, 5th place NASL Conference) played to a 1-1 draw against the Carolina RailHawks (3-2-5, 3rd Place NASL) after dropping the US Open cup matched to the USL2 Richmond Kickers 1-0. The Palace will host the NSC Minnesota Stars (5-8-2, 4th place USL) on Saturday night.

Alouettes: The Als concluded their preseason with a 31-23 win over the Argos. The regular season will open with the Als on the Road in Saskatchewan on July 1.

Blast: Nothing to Report.

Mariners (See website for more details): The Baltimore Mariners (13-0) destroyed the winless New Jersey Revolution by a close 84-6 score. The Mariners will wrap up the regular season at home on Saturday against the Reading Express (8-5, 3rd place). Wyoming of the West Division is also still undefeated at 12-0.

Bayhawks: The Hawks (4-2) lost to the visiting Denver Outlaws (4-2) by a 20-16 score. Boston rose in the standings to create a 3 way knot at the top. Their next game will be at home on Thursday against the Toronto Nationals (1-5) before traveling to play Denver on July 4th.

Capitals (See website for more details): Nothing to report.

Wizards (See website for more details): Nothing to report.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway so you probably won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
