Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: A lot will be told this
week at the first scrimmage/preseason game, although the likely starters won't
see much time on the field. Hauschka seems to have a "leg up" on the kicking
job, although I think Gano is a more accurate kicker and has a stronger leg. Not
to mention, Gano has experience working under pressure with his college
experience.
Orioles: The Orioles are in a death spiral.
Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): The combination of our draw at Harrisburg, Real Maryland's victory over Bermuda and Charlotte's defeat of Pittsburgh means that Palace can no longer finish higher than sixth, eliminating Baltimore from playoff contention for the 2009 season.
Alouettes: The Als (5-1) posted a rare 25-0 shutout of the Toronto Argonauts (2-4). Calvillo threw for 395 yards, and Avon Coburn ran for 2 TDs, while Eric Wilson caught a stunt pass from reserve tailback Adrian Mcpherson to account for most of the scoring. Currently 1 game ahead of Hamilton (4-2), the Als head to Winnipeg (2-4) on Saturday.Blast: No new news.
Mariners: Five Mariners were named to the AIFA All-Pro Team: Running Back Isaiah Grier and Defensive Back Armar Watson were named First Team All-Pro and Kicker J.R. Cipra, Defensive Back Richard Johnson, and Wide Receiver Jamaal Stokes were named Honorable Mention AIFA All-Pros.
What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
