Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: I will summarize my report from Monday's meeting if you missed it. Front line still shaky, but with Gaither back at practice we can only hope things will get better. Flacco was overthrowing everything, and needs to ease down on the adrenaline. Hard to say on the RB's, TE's and WR's, but the defense looked bad. Hopefully when the starting core is back on the field, things will jell, but I did not like what I saw. Things usually shape on on Defense.

Expect to see Smith start the season opener, with Boller as the backup early in the season. About halfway through the season, Boller will be unofficially replaced by Flacco on the depth chart.

Preseason guesstimates have Cloverland in first, pit in second, and Baltimore and Cincy fighting it out for third (or last, depending on your perspective). All in all, I am not very optimistic right now. We have too many question marks, and not enough answers. People need to start stepping up, and quickly.

Orioles: They demoralized me with the loss on Friday night. Trembley was playing musical pitching rubber, and the 7 pitchers couldn't stop those damn Yankees from scoring 6 runs in the last two innings. Let me tell you, there are two things in the sports world that I right can't stand: A happy stealer fan and a happy yankee fan. I left the park, and was not a happy camper. The O's have given up, and I think I am close to doing the same. Can't football season start already?

Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C.: The Cleveland City Stars leveraged their home field advantage and defeated the Charlotte Eagles 2-1 for the championship. Back home, The Palace have agreed to loan Shintaro Harada and Pat Healey to the Chicago Fire for their international friendly against Veracruz in Mexico this weekend. In other news, Palace's Japanese defender Harada was also named to the USL2 All-League First Team as voted by the league's coaches and general managers. Pat Healey and Co-Managers Medd & Cherneski were also unveiled as finalists for Rookie and Coach of the year respectively.

Alouettes: The Als have the week off, and will next play on Friday, 29 August, hosting the BC Lions (4-4, last place in the West).

Blast: The website says that more news shall be coming on the 2008-9 season, but they left us hanging on details.

Mariners: Chain Gang Jim Hopkins paid us a visit on Monday, promoting ticket sales, and announced that the Baltimore Arena has signed a 3 year contract with the Mariners, guaranteeing a playing field for the next 3 seasons.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
