Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Now that was a good
warm-up game for next week. The defense regained some of their swagger, but lets
just hope they don't get too confident going in to next weeks game in N'England.
Not much to say about this game, the score was rather reflective of game. We ran
(save the McGahee fumble), we passed (new career high for Flacco), and we
defended. Long snaps are still not hitting their target, but it didn't cost us
this game.
Orioles:
Well, losing 11 in a row will put a dent in to my prediction. They need to win 3
of the final 7 games to avoid 100 losses. Current math points to a 62-100 final
record. 2010 schedule has been posted, and the Orioles will open the season on
the road in Tampa, before hosting the home opener on Friday against Toronto.
Crystal Palace
Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): No new news.
Alouettes: Avon
Cobourne posted a career high 164 yards rushing on 22 carries, with 2 TDs as the
Als (10-2) rolled over the Ti-Cats (6-6) 42-8, extending the division lead to 4
games. Montreal dominated in every aspect of the game.
The Als will next visit the 4th place Toronto Argonauts (3-9), for a Saturday
afternoon matchup.
Blast: No new
news.
Mariners (See website for more
details): Baltimore Mariners’ Defensive Coordinator Steve Gaunt, who compiled a
relentless ball-hawking defense, which picked off 42 interceptions and grabbed
52 takeaways in the 2009 season, has reached an agreement to return to the
professional indoor football team in 2010.
What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped?
Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher
things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to
iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!

- Week 1
- RAVENS over Browns (+13½) but take the points. We will score a
lot... and so will they (assuming they find the time to pass). Defense finally showed up (or was it that the Browns offense
didn't)
- Pats over Falcons (+4½) but take the points. Colts seem to enjoy close
games this year. Pats struggled early in the game, but then
took the lead mid way through and never looked back.
- Packers over Lambs (+6½). Rams could give the Lions company on the list
of infamous records this season. Brett who?
- Texans over Jacksonville (+3½). Two teams going in opposite
directions... fast! Roles flip flopped.
- Pheagles over KC (+9½). Philly will be looking for blood after that
drubbing by the "not-so-Ain'ts" last week. KC looks ugly
right now.
- Giants over Tampa (+6½). Giants are strong yet again. Bucs are
struggling. ... and so it continues
- Niners (+7½) over Vikes. Niners have turned a corner. This should be a
prime time matchup. Niners should have won!
- Wershington over Detroit (+6½), but take the points. This one could go
either way. Lions finally win!
- Jets over Tennessee (+2½). Rex Ryan is "Da man" Jets got
up early, and then played even up for most of the remainder
- Seattle (+2½) over Chicago. Bears will still be hung over from taking
out defending stupid bowl champions Bears might actually
have something this year.
- Saint over Buffalo (+5½). Can somebody stop that Offense... and that
defense.... and that special teams... from scoring? Terrell who? Saints are ain'ts no more.
- Team that must not be named (TTMNBN) over Cincy (+4½) but take the
points. TTMNBN has been struggling on O. Don't be surprise if Carson Palmer
puts up some good numbers for 2nd week in a row. Palmer
didn't put up anything fancy, but did what was needed to win.
- Oakland over Denver (+1½). Another 2 teams going in opposite directions,
but these guys always make for an interesting matchup. The
old Oakland that we know and loved returned this week.
- San Diego over Miami (+6), but take the points. Chargers rebound, but
only barely. San Diego covered.
- Colts (+2½) over Cards. Colts are better than the Niners that took out
the Cards in the opener. They went to the Super Bowl Last
year?
- Cowboys over Carolina (+9½). Dallas gets that first home win, and try to
resist running up the score. Dallas struggled to run up the
score...
- This Week: 10-6 Straight Up; 10-6 Against the Spread
- Season: 30-18 Straight Up; 25-23 Against the Spread
- Week 2
- Patriots over Ravens (+2½). Sorry folks. Fantasy land meets reality.
Game to be decided on final possession.
- Bengals over Browns (+5½). Browns are that bad, and the Bengals
might not be.
- Bears eat Lions (+10½), but take the Lions. Detroit will still be riding
high after their first win in almost 2 years.
- Giants over KC (+8½). Oh, Please.
- Texans over Raiders (+9½) but take the Raiders. Oakland only does well
if its the dog.
- Dolts over Seattle (+9½). Hawks couldn't cover this even if it was in
Seattle
- Bucs (+7½) over skins. Skins will reach a new low this year... and for a
new head coach
- Titans over Jax (+3½), but take the points. A field goal wins it.
- Fins (+2½) over Bills. TO will be POed.
- Saints over Jets (+6½). Jets D can't handle this O.
- Broncos (+3½) over Cowboys. Dallas is only a pretender this year.
- Niners over Lambs (+9½). SF will cover by half time, and then start
toying with them.
- Team that must not be named over Chargers (+6½), but take the Chargers.
Always a close match... but why do they always play in the city that must
not be named.
- Vikes over Packers (+3½). Favre exploits his former teammates.
