Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Well, didn't I say it
would come down to a final drive (win or lose). I just hate to be on the losing
end of it, and we did it to ourselves. Three reasons we lost:
- Physical Errors (e.g. Turnovers): Fumbled kickoff led to 3 NE points, and
the INT kept us off the board, which was another 3 or 7 points. That's the
difference between trying to score a game winning touchdown and kicking a game
winning field goal.
- Mental Errors: Mark Clayton. Any questions. He dropped 2 passes on the
final drive, and probably a few more, that I don't remember. He wasn't the
only one either.
- The refs: Officiating was horribly biased. You saw the game, so you can
confirm that most of the penalties went against us, and at the most
inopportune times. ...and then there was the special rule book for Brady.
Next up is Cincinnati who just struggled through Cleveland. I think we should
be able to take care of this business as long as we shut down Palmer.
Orioles: Who
would have thunk it! Winning the final 4 games to capture my months long
prediction of 98 losses. I was there Friday and Saturday, and actually had a
little fun. Much better than last season this time when I watched the Indians
post an 8 run inning... with only 1 hit (a grand slam). That game has been
burned in, and not in a good way. Bullpen needs an overhaul, but, like every
other season, we don't have the money to buy it, not the talent to promote it.
Crystal Palace
Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): No new news.
Alouettes: The Als (11-2)
continued their run, with a 27-8 road win over the struggling Toronto Argonauts
(3-10).
The Als will host the West leading Calgary Stampeders (8-5) on Monday night
football, Canadian style.
Blast: No new
news.
Mariners (See website for more
details): Brian Bradford, who was named to three first team All-American teams
as a senior for Towson University and was an All-State performer at Gaithersburg
(Maryland) High School, has agreed to return to the Baltimore Mariners in
2010.
Adam Goloboski a former prep start at Hereford High School, who earned
All-American honors at Richmond, has Canadian Football League (CFL) and National
Football League (NFL) experience, and was a member of the U.S. National Bobsled
Team, has committed to returning to the Baltimore Mariners in 2010.
What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped?
Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher
things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to
iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!

- Week 4
- Patriots over Ravens (+2½). Sorry folks. Fantasy land meets reality.
Game to be decided on final possession.Damn it. I was
right.
- Bengals over Browns (+5½). Browns are that bad, and the Bengals
might not be. This bodes well for our matchup next
week
- Bears eat Lions (+10½), but take the Lions. Detroit will still be riding
high after their first win in almost 2 years. Less
filling...
- Giants over KC (+8½). Oh, Please. Wow. KC scored.
- Texans over Raiders (+9½) but take the Raiders. Oakland only does well
if its the dog. Looks the the Raiders of recent blunders
have returned
- Dolts over Seattle (+9½). Hawks couldn't cover this even if it was in
Seattle A few mercy scores made this one look better than it
was
- Bucs (+7½) over skins. Skins will reach a new low this year... and for a
new head coach Damn skins. Bucs should have won.
- Titans over Jax (+3½), but take the points. A field goal wins it. Tennessee who? I must have been looking at the wrong week, 'cause
the Titans certainly were.
- Fins (+2½) over Bills. TO will be POed. Couldn't happen
to a nicer guy... now, if only he wasn't on my fantasy/nightmare
team...
- Saints over Jets (+6½). Jets D can't handle this O. Not
super high scoring, but the Saint's got it done.
- Broncos (+3½) over Cowboys. Dallas is only a pretender this year. Told ya so.
- Niners over Lambs (+9½). SF will cover by half time, and then start
toying with them. Well, they didn't cover by halftime, and
took a bunch of defensive and special teams prowess to win this one, but
they did win big
- Team that must not be named over Chargers (+6½), but take the Chargers.
Always a close match... but why do they always play in the city that must
not be named. Why couldn't this one have ended
differently?
- Vikes over Packers (+3½). Favre exploits his former teammates. Brett who?
- This Week: 11-3 Straight Up; 10-4 Against the Spread
- Season: 41-21 Straight Up; 35-27 Against the Spread
- Week 5
- Ravens over Bengals (+8½), but take the points. We should win, but not
by that much
- Bills over Browns (+5½). TO will find the endzone a few times
- Dallas over KC (+8½). KC is in disarray.
- Vikings over Lambs (+10½). Too much offense versus too little...
anything.
- Giants over Raiders (+15½). Had this been in Oakland, I might have taken
the points.
- Team that must not be named over the Lions (+10½). I hope this goes the
other way.
- Philly over Tampa (+13½), but take the points. Tampa's offense will
finally do enough to cover that number.
- Carolina over washington (+3½). Skins stink this year.
- Niners over Atlanta (+2½). Niners are on a roll
- Arizona over Houston (+5½), but take the points. Houston could be decent
in a regular basis if they weren't in the South Division.
- Jags over Seattle (+3½). I was tempted to take Seattle since they will
be at home, but they haven't shown me anything yet this year.
- Denver (+3½) over the Pats. We should have beaten NE. Now, Denver will.
- Indy over Tennessee (+3½), but take the points. Tennessee always finds a
way to make this a game, especially in Tennessee and especially in prime
time.
- Jets over Miami (+1½). The spread should be a lot more.
