Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Refereeing didn't get
any better, despite the news reports that it was. The NFL just doesn't
understand that we play aggressively. Ray did not make a bad hit on Ochocinco.
Chad just needs a better chin strap... and he admitted it when he sent a twitter
to commish Goodall, pleading with him to NOT fine Lewis, but to save the fines
for him. Maybe Ray did hit him too hard after all. Bottom line was that we
couldn't stop Palmer. I guess there is a new power in the division.
Now on to Minnesota (5-0). We better resolve our defensive issues soon... and
rediscover our offense.
Orioles: No
new news.
Crystal Palace
Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): Palace USA have made one of the
most important signings in their young history - former Rochester Rhino and
Baltimore Blast creative force, Neto, has put pen to paper and will lead the
attack in 2010 and beyond. You can see him in his club debut on Sat Oct 17 at
10:30am at Loyola as Palace welcome the US U17 National Team.
Alouettes: The Als (11-2)
continued their run, with a 27-8 road win over the struggling Toronto Argonauts
(3-10).
The Als will host the West leading Calgary Stampeders (8-5) on Monday night
football, Canadian style.
Blast: The
Baltimore Blast will play their 2009-10 home opener on Friday, November 13 at
1st Mariner Arena. The November 13 home opener is scheduled for a 7:35 p.m. kick
off and will feature a celebration of the team’s 2009 NISL Championship and a
free post-game concert by Kutless and Chasen. The complete 2009-10 schedule,
along with Baltimore’s opening-night opponent, will be released later this
month.
Mariners (See website for more
details): The Baltimore Mariners have announced the signing of assistant coaches
Jason Blackman, Ron Meehan, and Bryan Milburn. As a group they provide a wealth
of high school, college, and NFL playing experience, and vast coaching knowledge
at the prep, college, and professional levels.
Mike Lucian, a starting
lineman at Penn State, who also helped lead Linganore High School of Frederick
to the Maryland 3A State Championship, has reached a deal with the Baltimore
Mariners to start his professional career with the American Indoor Football
Association (AIFA) team, which calls 1st Mariner Arena home.

- Week 5
- Ravens over Bengals (+8½), but take the points. We should win, but not
by that much Bengals might be real, but are we?
- Bills over Browns (+5½). TO will find the endzone a few times TO who?
- Dallas over KC (+8½). KC is in disarray. ...and so must
Dallas
- Vikings over Lambs (+10½). Too much offense versus too little...
anything. Lambs to the slaughter
- Giants over Raiders (+15½). Had this been in Oakland, I might have taken
the points. Did they even start the 2nd half with any of
their regular starts on the field?
- Team that must not be named over the Lions (+10½). I hope this goes the
other way. Lions cover... look out for Detroit! ;-)
- Philly over Tampa (+13½), but take the points. Tampa's offense will
finally do enough to cover that number. Nope, wrong on the
coverage.
- Carolina over washington (+3½). Skins stink this year. darnit, but they covered!
- Niners over Atlanta (+2½). Niners are on a roll Where
did that Atlanta comes from?
- Arizona over Houston (+5½), but take the points. Houston could be decent
in a regular basis if they weren't in the South Division.Almost covered, but had to did out from an early hole just to blow
it in the 4th
- Jags over Seattle (+3½). I was tempted to take Seattle since they will
be at home, but they haven't shown me anything yet this year. Seattle seems to do well at home... take note of that.
- Denver (+3½) over the Pats. We should have beaten NE. Now, Denver will.
See... Oh crap! Broncos in November. At least they are at
home for us.
- Indy over Tennessee (+3½), but take the points. Tennessee always finds a
way to make this a game, especially in Tennessee and especially in prime
time. Tennessee must be that bad.
- Jets over Miami (+1½). The spread should be a lot more. Wow! Rex Ryan, what happened?
- This Week: 9-5 Straight Up; 4-10 Against the Spread
- Season: 50-26 Straight Up; 39-37 Against the Spread
- Week 6
- RAVENS (+3½) over Vikings. This week will be different.
- Tampa (+3½) over Carolina. Home field should have it's advantages
- Team that must not be named over Cleveland (+14½), but take the points.
TTMNBN is struggling still, so I will bite on 2 TDs.
- Packers over Lions (+13½), but take the points. Lions are better than
last year, but that wasn't hard.
- Cinciny over Houston (+4½). I guess Cinciny is the team to beat in our
division this year. Houston could make this game really interesting.
- Washington over KC (+6½) but take the points. Skins stink and should eek
by this week, assuming KC doesn't actually pull the upset.
- Saints over Giants (+3½). Should be a good game, but Saints have more
Offense.
- Jax over Lambs (+9½). Lambs might cover this... oh wait, Boller at QB.
Nevermind.
- Cards (+2½) over 'hawks. Seattle does really really well at home, but
the Cards just don't seem to give up.

surrender.
- Jets over Buff (+9½), but take the points. Can't give up that many
points in that divisional matchup
- Pats over Tennessee (+9½). Tennessee is looking sad this year.
- Chicago (+3½) over Atlanta. Who picked this as Sunday Night game? Can't
we swap in the Saints/Giants?
- Broncos (+4½) over Chargers. Broncos are highly underrated this season.

- Skanks over Twins in 4. Twins are there because they were better than
Detroit Did the Tigers knock out the twins and take their
places?
- Angels over Sox in 4. Sox can take out anyone in the AL playoffs...
except LA Now can the Angels take out NY?
- Dodgers over the Cards in 4. Dodgers are the team to beat in the NL.
Only took 3 games
- Colorado over the Phillies in 5. Philadelphia has issues. ...and so does Colorado's bullpen, apparently.
- League Champsionship Series
- Angels over the Damn Yankees in 7. LA is the better team.
- Dodgers over Phils in 6. Phils shouldn't even be here, but they won't
seem to die.
- Early World Series Prediction
- Who cares, as long as the Yankees aren't playing... besides will
anyone be up to see any of the games?s
