Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: Good news is that we didn't lose this weekend. The bad news is that we didn't win either. After dropping the last 3 games, we are in the nasty predicament of having to win AT LEAST 7 of the remaining 10 games to make the playoffs. Opponents include Denver, Bengals, Indy and the Team that must not be named (twice). Not impossible, but we blow our chance to take a strangle hold of the division early on.

It doesn't really matter who is to blame for our struggles, it is how we respond to them. The problem, as I see it is that we are built to be a Pass-first offense. The may be alien to us fans in Baltimore, but we need to embrace the fact that we need to establish the pass to open up the run. If we try to be a run-first offense, 3 and out will become more familiar than we wish it to be. Last game, we tried to establish the run first. That is not going to work. Look at your strengths and embrace them, not try to change them.

Orioles: No new news.

Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): No new news.

Alouettes: Having clinched best record in the league 2 weeks ago, the Als (13-3) rested starters in a 41-24 loss to the Winnipeg Blue Bombers (7-9).

The Als will host Winnipeg (7-9) next Sunday to conclude the home-and-home series.

Blast: The Baltimore Blast will open their 2009-10 at home against the Rockford Rampage on Friday, November 13 at 1st Mariner Arena. Special events will be held at the opener to commemorate the Blast's 30th year. The entire 2009-2010 schedule has been released, and is available on the website.

Mariners (See website for more details): The Baltimore Mariners continued their run of signings of players with National Football League (NFL) experience by signing Scott Burley, who was recently released by the Washington Redskins. The 6’5”, 335 pound offensive tackle was also an All-American performer at Woodlawn High School and an All-ACC selection for the Maryland Terps.
The Baltimore Mariners have named Elizabeth Guaraldo (Director of Baltimore Mariners Cheerleading), Jim Hopkins (Director of Game Day Operations), and John Wolfe (Public Relations Director) to front office positions for the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) team.
A pair of former Delaware high school stars, Matt Folke and Vince Tiberi, who made the leap from open workout walk-ons to key components of the Baltimore Mariners 2009 playoff team, both re-signed with the American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) squad for the 2010 season.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
