Personal Thoughts:
Ravens: We won, but that was ugly. Hauschka is gone, and they have signed veteran kicker Billy Cundiff, who will play with his third team this season, and ninth overall in 8 years. He went 6 for 6 with the Browns this season when filling in for the injured Phil Dawson, but was release once Dawson recovered from a pulled right calf muscle. Stover won't be available for another couple weeks, if that's what you thinking.

Front line could not hold off the Browns rush as our running game, once again, failed to materialize. Flacco was in constant pressure and unable to find open receivers. The only bright spot was our defense, and that was largely due to the fact that the Browns have NO offense. A win is a win, but I now have more questions than answers as we head into back to back home games against the Colts and the Team That Must Not Be Named.

The Colts will beat us, and I hope it doesn't get ugly. We cannot contain good quarterbacks, and Manning is one of them. He will expose our secondary for what it is (weak), and we will not be able to stop the run. Our best bet is a shoot out, and we don't have the offense weapons to keep up with the Colts. I like my odds better against the TTMNBN the following weak.

Orioles: The Orioles added six players to their 40-man roster on Wednesday -- right-handers Brandon Erbe and Luis Lebron, and infielders Josh Bell, Pedro Florimon, Rhyne Hughes and Brandon Snyder.

Crystal Palace Baltimore F.C. (Home games at UMBC): No new news.

Alouettes: The Als (15-3) will host the cross-over B.C. Lions (9-10) on Sunday. The Lions, from the Western Conference, defeated the host Hamilton (9-10) Ti-Cats 34-27. The Western Conference title will be between top seeded Saskatchewan Roughriders (10-7-1) and the number 2 seed Calgary Stampeders (11-7-1), who defeated Edmonton Eskimos (9-10) 24-21 to reach the conference title game.

Blast: The Baltimore Blast dropped their season opener 10-8 in overtime to the Rockford Rampage. The Blast will be back at 1st Mariner Arena on Saturday, November 21 to host the Philadelphia KiXX. The 21st is T-shirt night and the first 1,500 kids 14 and under will receive a free 30th anniversary T-shirt.

I am gauging interest in a field trip to see the Blast play this season. Please email me if you are interested, and I will negotiate the arrangements. Thanks.

Mariners (See website for more details): Andre’ Letren, who set a Baltimore Mariners and American Indoor Football Association (AIFA) single-game record with five interceptions, and who also has professional playing experience in Canada and Italy, has been re-signed by the indoor football team, which calls 1st Mariner Arena home.

What do you want to see in the Ravens report? What should be scrapped? Actually, nevermind. No one is reading this anyway, so I will just butcher things up however I please, and you won't know the difference. Send an email to iggy at tealdragon.net. Thanks!
