DIRECTOR OF CONTRIBUTIONS -= WENDY

No Report – However, would like people to discuss charities they may want us to help.

DIRECTOR OF WAYS AND MEANS – Toni Reese

Bill Griffin (Bull Roast) – we have cut off date to return tickets, money in by February meeting.  Sign up sheets for plush wheel and money wheel, might have one or two tickets left, practically sold out, people will need tickets.  Help on door prizes.  Mandy is organizing a basket of cheer.  Pre-printed receipt for door prizes for merchants.  Two tickets still available at Ken Bauer’s table.

Frosty Volmer (Golf Outing) – as usually we are locked into Oakmont Green, last Saturday in April, friend of friend at Hollow Creek, may have better deal.  Might want to change date because of Myrtle Beach (Elkridge Boys trip) conflicts with the outing.  This would give four more foursomes.  Information available in another week or two.  Put on website and flyers.  Same distance to travel.  May go up to $85 or $90, this year.  Ken – compared to other golf outings, this is still a pretty good deal for Saturday play.  Hollow Creek is brand new.  Finalized in another week or two.  Several members may want a bus.  Won’t be a Roost run bus, it will all depend on how many people want to go.  $15 to $25 per head depending on head count.  Please let Mandy know if you are interested.  Good turnout and Mandy will pay deposit.  Leave from this parking lot at 11:00 and depart when day is over at golf course.

SCHOLARSHIP – Mandy Young

Finally giving away two scholarships.  River Hill and Atholton were the lucky schools.  See Board minutes for names.  There were 16 applicants.  Betty Golibart will help Mandy next year to offer advice.  Would like to present two winners with plaque.  Discussion about a larger plaque with yearly winners.  Invited Joe Russo and wife to Bull Roast.  Invited to next Board meeting.

Scholarship Raffle – Toni Reese taking over ticket sales.  Toni handed out everyone their raffle tickets to sell.  All members must well five.

Bob Caldwell – RAVENS REPORT

Bob gave a great detailed report.  You can read the whole report on the website.

SOCIAL DIRECTOR – Chris Cisna

Board is excited with new ideas.  Everybody knows that they want to do.  One of the things is to do more fun stuff.  We are going to have events throughout the year: bowling, Putt Putt golf, visit Football Hall of Fame.  Roast trip for next year.  Jacksonville or Detroit seem to be the easiest to get group seats.  Bowling evening in the month of March, information will be available in February.  New members get overwhelmed and we don’t remember them, we are putting a new membership packet together, RR #4 sticker for car, developing name tags for meetings, making it a point to let new members feel more welcomed.

NEW BUSINESS

Good and Welfare – Frosty – Mitch and Frosty will be attending bar at the Stone Cellar – 4:30 to 8:00 this Thursday.

OLD BUSINESS

Donate $500 to Sports Legends at Camden Yards museum – we have to decide on three names, 2004 Baltimore Ravens, Ray Lewis, Jonathan Ogden (voted on by Board), however, more passion is discussed by members (ITEM TABLED UNTIL NEXT BOARD MEETING).  Doc has memorabilia of his Grandfathers.  Would like to donate an item to the museum under Ravens Roost #4.  Voted on and approved by the delegation.
