General Membership Meeting

Call to order – Frosty 7:00 pm

 

Pledge – Sergeant at Arms position will remain vacant for 1 year in honor of the passing of Missy Golibart

 

Surprise Guests – Baltimore Raven Mike Flynn and Seth Katz, President of Alumni Management Group.  They were accompanied by Mike’s wife and son.

 

Ø       Promotion of a three day event reunion of the Super Bowl 2000 Team and members of the 1958 Champion Colts.  40 Colts and 45 to 50 Ravens.  Three-day event, March 28th – 30th, the World’s Biggest, Best, Autograph Signing Ever!  All under one roof Towson Center and Unitas Stadium.

 

Ø       Friday night is a VIP Type dinner with the players, Saturday and Sunday are big events at Towson University.  Ravens will be there in the morning and Colts at night signing autographs and meeting people.  Proceeds from the Beer Tent will go right to Fourth and Goal.  Event will include special guests and different players. Proceeds from tickets sales will go directly to both charities.

 

·         Fourth and Goal – started by Tom Matte to help former Colt’s players now is a National Charity helping players from the NFL. 

 

·         Armed Forces Foundation – help injured solders and their families.

Ø       Mike met with the new coach for about 40 to 50 minutes and feels he is an impressive guy.  He comes from a football family.  He expects there will be a tough training camp with a lot more discipline with empathies on Team, Team, and Team. Mike feels he will do a great job!

 

Tonight’s 50/50 Raffle Money donated by the Roost #4 to

President’s Report – Frosty

 

Ø       10 Tickets to the Council Bull Roast - February 23rd 7pm – 12am at Patapsco Arena are available.  Tickets are $38 each.  Contact Frosty at (410) 562-0173 to purchase.

 

Ø       Special Olympics Polar Bear Plunge had 11 members from Ravens Roost #4.  Roost #4 raised over $9,500 year with all Roosts raising over $200,000.  Amy & Geoff - thank you for the use of the RV.  It was a well organized event by Frosty & Mitch for the participants.

 

Ø       More information next month about the Ocean City Convention

 

Ø       Deep Creek Dunk is scheduled for February 23rd.  3rd year for this event. 

 

Ø       Guest bartenders Mitch & Frosty will be upstairs at the Phoenix on Wednesday, February 20th, from 4pm – 8pm to raise money for Special Olympics Maryland via the Deep Creek Dunk.  Stop by for happy hour priced dinks and munchies and help Frosty & Mitch support SOMD!
