Operations Fund - $3,622.79 – We’ve paid $225 for the lodge, made some deposits, paid for plunge shirts and some miscellaneous items.  We also had to pay for the tickets for season ticket raffle.

Scholarship Report – Mandy

Our student from Wilde Lake has responded and he will be there with his family.  We need someone to do the ‘bank’ at the bull roast as Mandy will be on vacation.  Checks will be written but we won’t have the totals until that night.  Someone will need to write in amounts and be responsible for this weighty matter.  It was suggested that we contact Barb and ask her if she will be willing.

Council report – Held a week ago Friday.

March of dimes walk on 4/29. It begins at 9am rain or shine.

Former member and president, Rob Ewin resigned and opened a roost in Frederick. Rob asked the Council if the new Frederick Roost could be assigned "#43" since there used to be a Roost #43 in Frederick (that folded) and it made sense to reuse the number for another Roost in the same city rather than burn another number.  The Council agreed and has designated the new Roost - Ravens Roost #43 of Frederick. Roost #43 is back up and running in Frederick.  We think their roost will share our hospitality room at the convention.

We have two free passes for Camden Yards Legends.  Contact Eddie Young.

Extra Effort Award Banquet tickets are $25.  Held by Ravens Roost #7.  Rooms in the Hagerstown area are running $80 per night.  The banquet will be held at the Hagerstown Elks lodge.  Information will be posted on the Roost #4 web later this week.

The Ravens Roost #4 10th Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, July 7th at Hollow Creek Country Club.  More info to follow in the upcoming weeks.

The Council has a 2007 survey in progress.  Frosty will be filling it out.

Patapsco Council 1960 will hold their annual Irish night.  Rigado is the entertainment.  Dinner $46.  Dinner 6-8p, music 8-12p.

One applicant joined tonight - Cheryl Abicht – Welcome Cheryl!!

We still have a few embroidered sweatshirts @ $30, embroidered hats @ $20.

Board report –

If you notice things missing, lots of stuff has been removed from the trophy case. Mostly autographed memorabilia since the sale is pending and we wanted to be safe then sorry.

The liquor board has approved the transfer of the license but there is paperwork holding up the settlement.

The Roost is sending out a questionnaire to all members.  We’re trying to get feedback as to why people aren’t showing and what we can do to improve.  The survey will include a stamped return envelope.  Please take a few minutes to complete the questionnaire and mail it back.

Bull Roast report –

Pat was absent and Gary didn’t have any details.  We’re looking for volunteers to work the wheels at the bullroast.  Awards will be at 8:15, a little earlier than last year in an effort to show respect to our scholars.  Wheels will be shut down for 15 minutes.  We’ll have a plush wheel and a money wheel.  Beth is again working on getting items for our wheels.  She did a tremendous job last year.  Raffle tickets will be $2 each, 3 for $5.

Beth has the scholarship tickets.  If you have not already gotten your 5 tickets to sell from her, please see her.  If not, she will be mailing them out shortly.

Convention report – Mandy has the folder with the patron ads.  Registration forms are up front.  $50 per person.  Ages 6 - 20 are $20 and under 6 are free.  Saluting the 12th man is the theme.  Registration forms will also be posted on the Roost #4 web page later this week.

There is a motion to move the April meeting a week earlier to the 16th so all information is in before the convention.  This makes it easier for Frosty and Bob to get all the funds together and pay the convention committee.  The motion was passed.

Old business – We did the polar bear plunge – The Roost had 15 plungers and raised $9010.50.  All councils raised over $125,000 for the plunge (unverified).  $2 million for the whole plunge.

New business – Mitch and Frosty just got back from Deep Creek.  Frosty and Mitch raised $800 between the two of them!!!  551 dunkers raised $125,000.

.

Good and welfare – Liam’s grandmother passed away and we sent a card on behalf of the Roost.

Ravens report – Scotty – Raven’s lost starter Adalius Thomas.  Details on Billicks contract extension, 4 years.  Jamal renegotiating his contract.  He wants to stay, we should let him go.  We have 12 free agents in various states.  Sun sports page, George Preas died.  Colts offensive linesman from 58-59.  He was 73.

50-50 – #352706 Judy Zipp won.  I did not get the amount.
