#86 – new roost – Bay Shore/Edgemere

www.councilrr.org – Roost 1 and history is up.  Plans to put us up.  Mitch, Jaybird and Buzzy are working on that now.  Next few weeks it will probably be up.  Harley Davidson Raffle – sponsor of Maryland Special Olympics.  If you would like to sell tickets, $20/ticket.  We are not responsible for selling any.  We may sell them if we wish.  2500 tickets off the press.  2nd prize is a stand-up bike trailor, 3rd prize is a jacket.  1st prize is a Harley Davidson 2005 Soft Tail.

 

Roost #7 – April 16 – Extra Effort Banquet – please let Ken know if you would like to go.  $15/per person for banquet, $100 for a couple for all night long.  There is shuttle bus.  Cash bar - $1.50 beer, it’s at the Elks Lodge.  Kyle Boller will be there, Brian Billick and a few others.  Kyle Boller is receiving an award.

 

April 17th – Port to Fort Walk – benefits Believe in tomorrow.

Bowie Baysox NFL night – Sunday July 24th.

 

Ken raised hand at meeting to give comments about Bull Roast.  A few comments were that is was tight fitting, food was fine, the person who runs silent auction was a little unorganized.  A lot of people agreed.  A lot of talk after that, method to formally assess Bull Roast.  Any other comments, please let Ken know, positive or negative.

Registration for convention due tonight, will be here Wednesday, Thursday and Friday and next week.  The t-shirts for council are also due now (money).  RR#4 t-shirts has, need forms filled out, we will wear these in the parade.  Forms in back, and on website, in addition there are sweatshirts or t-shirts, no money tonight.  Turn order form in and shirts should be back by April meeting, maybe May.  Do we want to buy additional ones for the case at the Judge’s Bench?

 

Council agenda – copies with Dennis today or next meeting, cell phone list, lodging (booked), couple of other hotels are around town, hospitality suite (will be put together by Chris Cisna.  Put together also a list of RR#4 events during the convention.  Committees, the karaoke registration is due (Cindy is coordinating), horse shoe and volley ball due (Ken is organizing that),  Karen and Buzzy will be organizing the Tug-Of-War, Convention Program ad is due now (Mandy and Dennis) are finalizing that.  Last on the list is that we got a request from the Council, they need parade marshals, walkers to walk with the cards, total of 12 to 16 people, let Dennis know if you want to volunteer.  Need convertibles too, need 10 cars, let Dennis know if you have one and would like to donate your car and time.  Picture people are needed, six people to help with kids events and activities, and people for the food line.

 

Joe – float for the parade – Mandy, Bob and Joe got together, rather than a float we would be entering the “Novelty” division.  Mandy – when Joe has float meeting, we have to try tonight to agree on a budget.  Mandy – MOTION – that we budget $1500 for float – MOTION – YES – Seconded (YES).  We need to make decision on giveaways.  Joe would like to meet next Monday here at 6:30, you can contact Joe at Marcianonet@aol.net.

BOARD REPORT – Edward Powers

 

Tracy is not going to be Scrapbook Coordinator – Needs someone to volunteer.  Karen, why don’t we move to a more virtual scrapbook.  Maybe try to scan on website.  Ken – do we have enough space, MITCH – no, we will probably have to catalog them and rotate them through.

 

TONI REESE – no report – please turn in raffles – ASAP.

 

BULL ROAST – Bill and Teresa – THEY DID A GREAT JOB!!!!  $11,930.00 receipts, expenses of $8900, net profit of $3,031.00.  Next year, March 18, if we want to continue to use the same hall.  Please volunteer to run the Bull Roast.

 

Frosty – Golf Outing – flyers available, they are on the website, July 9th Hollow Creek, Middletown, Maryland, 8:30 shot gun start, include continental breakfast, range balls to practice, beer and sodas on the course, food afterwards (some kind of pork stuff).  Semi-private course, $100/golf, hole sponsors (still needed $50.00), we don’t make a lot of money on golfers.  Deadline would be our June meeting.

 

DIRECTOR OF CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS – Wendy Kelly

 

Last Sunday went to house, assessed what the homeowner has asked to repair.  There are things that were found that were not on the list.  Remember April 30th if the actual “Christmas in April” day, and our day to volunteer.  If you have signed up, please come out.  Let’s help Wendy out.  20 people have signed up so far.

Mitch let everyone know that it was a great time had by all who attended.  The beer was great!!!!

 

Old Business –

Thank Joe and Lucy.  They gave an appreciation day for RR#4.  Thanks so much.  Finally paid for plaques at Camden Yards.  May 12, 2005 it opens.

 

Mandy – Plaque competed for Scholarship Fund recipients – “Formula 4 Success” – will be case for all to enjoy.  Convention – Chris was talking about golfing during the convention separately from RR#44.  This year they will be golfing at Ocean Pines (#44), $110/person, includes on Thursday, 2 ½ cocktail/snacks party at the Beach Club, Friday continental breakfast at CC, including lunch and each participate will get wind shirt.  That is Roost #44 scholarship fundraiser.  Call Mandy if you would like a foursome.

 

NEW BUSINESS – Ken

 

Big stack of 50/50 raffle tickets for convention – We usually don’t sell them.  $1/tickets.  See Ken for tickets.

 

Mandy – April 23rd Spring Football Festival – we can attend, $5/per head as many as we want.  Please see Mandy, has to be done by April 15th.  Parking is free.  Gates open at 11:00am and event is until 5pm.  People thinking about maybe tailgating.

Camden Yards need volunteers, Ken has paperwork for volunteers.
