Membership – Mitch – Membership is at 95

New Member – Joel and Tammy Hampshire, Ellicott City, Section 127 at Ravens Stadium!

 

Council Report – Ken (See sheet from meeting – handout)

Harley Raffle – thru Mitch – several events that the tickets sold, special Olympics, Blues Festival, etc., if you want to spend an hour selling tickets that would be great.

BaySox Game – Ken has information – posted on Website – Ravens player there.

Future Conventions will be Thursday to Sunday (many of the Roost members get there on Thursday and want to accommodate early arrivers).

 

Vice President – Dennis Colhouer

51 people registered plus 4 kids – there is a council agenda (copies available), also on council link, hospitality suite (Karen, Chris and Dennis) working on setups.  T-shirts got delivered, however, they were not what we expected to have.  They looked really good but Raven was blue and lettering for pub was not great, Roost 4 logo was not correct.  Lucy at Red Sun, shipped them back Thursday, he will call her if she does not call.  Will be back in time for next meeting.  Will be on website upon arrival.  Bring checkbook next meeting.  Shirts are cut BIG.  Karaoke registration is due tonight (but Cindy was not present).  Volleyball (Ken registration together), Dave has volunteered to co-chair the registration date.  Noon on June 4th is that date that information is due on the horseshoes.  See Ken for list of Chairpersons and their lists to sign up.  Ken has that information. 

 

Float Committee – Joe –Met last week and finalized float and decided on giveaways. He should have everything in by the week of May 1.  May 7th should have final assembly done.  Probably need four or five people to help with assembly, 12 if beer is available!  Everything is coming along great.  Mike is making signs.  We’re on budget and then some.  Will have information on website.  Time-frame is critical.

 

 

 

Treasure’s Report – Mandy

$10,517.61.  Charities set aside $2250.  $4700 total.  Charities are being decided.  $4,1081.97 Scholarship fund, $3,000 upon contact will go to kids.

The website is updated.  Information abound.  Golf tournament is on there.  On-line membership form. 

Recent pictures added – Extra Effort banquet, Port to Fort Walk, pictures of Scholarship Recipients, 2005 Ravens Draft picks.  The website is current with lots of links.  (Mandy?-when will our bio be on website).  Website coordinator at Council got bogged down and we will be on there in a couple weeks.

Extra shirts are now available in the case for purchase. 

 

 

BOARD REPORT – Edward Powers (In Myrtle Beach J)

 

 

TONI REESE – Need tickets by June meeting.  She only has collected $500 out of the $5,000 needed.  Next council (Ken, Toni and Mandy) will sell tickets there.

 

 

BULL ROAST – Bill and Teresa – Need volunteer for next year’s Bull Roast.

 

Frosty – Golf Outing – flyers available, they are on the website, July 9th Hollow Creek, Middletown, Maryland, 8:30 shot gun start, include continental breakfast, range balls to practice, beer and sodas on the course, food afterwards (some kind of pork stuff).  Semi-private course, $100/golf, hole sponsors (still needed $50.00), we don’t make a lot of money on golfers.  Deadline would be our June meeting.

 

Mandy – Scholaship – A letter was received by one of the recipients of our award.  Ask Mandy if you would like to read it. 

 

DIRECTOR OF CHARITABLE CONTRIBUTIONS – Wendy Kelly

 

Last Sunday went to house, assessed what the homeowner has asked to repair.  There are things that were found that were not on the list.  Remember April 30th if the actual “Christmas in April” day, and our day to volunteer.  Please show up. 

 

 

SOCIAL DIRECTOR – Chris Cisna (in Myrtle Beach)

Road trip – Hotel booked, the game tickets (60) were purchased, 30 rooms at the Hilton, do the trip $500 (air fare, hotel, ground transportation, game ticket, water taxi and social).  Please get in as soon as possible.  The amount needs to be determined (please give checks by May meeting) Toni to take Registration forms and money.  We have to pay tickets up front and deposit on rooms (this Friday) – need a motion to book rooms, $3600 – MOTION—Frosty seconded – YES.  This amount shows we are seriously coming.  60 tickets will be put aside, we will be sitting with #44 downstairs.  The Hilton is almost booked.  With Anna’s favorite “hangout”.  One thing, Frosty talked to ticket guy, something extra for groups, this year if you have a group they allow 2 people to 3 people of our group to be on the field pre-game.

 

 

Old Business –

Things on website –RR#44 golf outing – 50/50 raffles available for convention – registration for tags available.  Volunteer for sports legends (applications available.  Embroidered shirts will be available next meeting.

 

HOW IS OUR PLAQUE FOR BARB PETERSON COMING ALONG!!!!!!  THIS WASN’T MENTIONED IN OLD BUSINESS, I GUESS BECAUSE SHE WAS THERE.

 

NEW BUSINESS – Ken

Good and Welfare – Karen Suter – Birthday in the house (Mandy – 38 again!!!).

Frosty – Board has to think about opening night 8:30 game, Roost maybe pay for tailgate party.  The Roost can pay for food and beer.

Brad (of the Bench) – Beach party – May 22, all day at the Bench – drink specials, contests and great fun.
