Charity Presentation – Joel Hampshire

A $1,000 check was presented by Joel Hampshire to Believe In Tomorrow, Lindsay Thomas was in attendance.  She is the event planner.  Through our contributions and others, they were able to open several new housing complexes in Canton and one at Wisp Mountain.  Our contributions are greatly appreciated.

 

Report of Minutes for April 2006 (Pat Eikenberg) – approved

 

Membership Report – Mitch Hooper

            New Members – Phil and JoAnn Huber, all went well for induction

 

Council Report – Ken Bauer

·                    Very painful

·                    Info on one Roost donating to USO, they are present at the airport before they go off to war.  Monetary donations are always welcome, Ken will speak with Joel regarding a possible charitable contribution.

·                    Convention – 1300 people have signed up – 100 more than last year.

·                    All our information is in – Friday is Miniature golf tourn.

·                    On site sign ups for Punt, Kick, Pass competition available.

·                    Raffles available for Harley Davidson, benefits Special Olympics, tickets are $20.  See Ken if you would like to purchase one.

·                    Iron Birds – Aberdeen – Ravens Roost Night – 9/3 – 5:30 game.

 

Convention Report – Vice President, Dennis Colhouer

            Dennis was ill.  Mitch gave report.  Scrub tops will be in by the weekend.   Roost pays for most of the cost.  Members pay $5.00 for shirt/scrub.  For the parade bring umbrellas, the purple ones.  Would like to be consistent.

Report from the Director of Ways and Means (CURRENTLY OPEN) – Mandy Young

            Committee Reports

·                    Social Director – Frosty Volmer – Road trip – October 27-30.  See website for details.  25 rooms reserved at Double Tree.  Cut-off this weekend.  Call if you would like reservations.  June 1st he will be purchasing game tickets

·                    O’s Games – was successful.  Mitch arranged pub crawl.  Thanks!

·                    6/17/06 – Bengies Drive In – Rain Date 6/24/06.  Visit Bengies Drive In website for rules and restrictions.

·                    7/8/06 – Golf outing – see website for details.  Please sell hole sponsors.

 

Old Business

            Frosty – Roost #7 – voted down last month.  Will donate personally $50 to sponsor hole.  Gary and Pat Eikenberg gave $10 toward cause.
