            No New Members – Current membership 97

 

Council Report – Ken Bauer

·                    Sports Legends Open House – Roost Members Only – Thursday, September 21, 6:30-8:30, call Katie Lynch – 410-727-1539 for information.

·                    $10,000 from insurance co. for embezzlement case.  Details to follow.

·                    Council Bull Roast: 1 week after SuperBowl – 2/11/2007 at Patapsco Arena.

·                    2007 Convention – May 31, June 1, 2, 3.

 

Vice President - Dennis Colhouer

            None

 

Treasurer’s Report – Mandy Young

            $10,612.70 – Operations Account – of which $3,358.35 is for Road Trip.

            $1,000 – will be transferred to Travis Fales College.

            $2,240.42 – Scholarship

            800 – 900 tickets have been sold for the scholarship fundraiser.

 

Website/Newsletter Report  - Mitch Hooper

            Visit website – updated daily (pictures of golf tournament, picnic and the Bauer

            Party are on there.

 

Board Report – Mandy Young

            Small meeting, not too much discussed.

 

Report from the Director of Ways and Means (CURRENTLY OPEN) – Mandy Young

            Committee Reports

·                    Social Director – Frosty Volmer – Road trip – October 27-30.  See website for details.  Next month will have agenda for activities on road trip.

·                    Frosty gave a brief overview of what or what has happened recently:

·                    July 4 – Frosty and Anna marked in paraded.  Would like to march as a Roost next year.

·                    July 8, 70 golfers participated in the outing.  We made about $3,000. 

·                    Thanks to Mitch for the many hole sponsors.  Had 33 hole sponsors.  Special thanks to Ann Miller, Anna and Cindy.

·                    Picnic was a success.  Special thanks to Mandy for bringing the food.

 

Old Business

            Ken – finally picked up Katie’s Karaoke trophy – this is a trophy which will be rotated yearly – we have the bragging rights until next competition.

 

New Business – Ken

            Good and Welfare (Karen Suter)

·                    Dave Knight attended meeting to thank everyone for attending his son’s funeral.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you, Dave.

·                    A motion was put on the floor for the Roost to donate $100 to the Elkridge VFD fund for Dave’s son – Motion was seconded – YES

·                    Joel Hampshire received a thank you letter from Believe in Tomorrow for our donation.

·                    Pat Eikenberg – Dates for the Christmas Party and Bull Roast were discussed.    March 24 for Bull Roast, December 8 or 15th for Christmas party.  Pat will call the halls for availability.  Everyone seems to want a Friday night Christmas party.  I’ll try and make it happen.

 

Ravens Report – Bob Caldwell

            Training camp starts this week.  Todd’s healthy.  See website for more.  Thanks Bob.

 

50/50 Raffle – Missy – Jocelyn Bauer - $65.00 – Just a note, Jocelyn also won in May.

 

Raffle was held for Raven’s tickets – Arthur Ashe won.  Mandy sold ticket.  Congratulations.
