Council Report – Ken Bauer

·                    Shiver in the River, December 3, 2005, Register on site at noon and plunge at 2pm.  Frosty Volmer is going.  Six have signed up so far.  Minimum donation is $50.

·                    The Council Bull Roast, we signed up for six tables, may have to give some back, their date is March 19, 2006, 10-6 pm, Towson Center, call Ken for details.  Also we have Wagon Raffle tickets.  We previously sold 100 of these, if we sell 100, we get 50% off our dues.  $1/ticket.

·                    The December Council meeting is Friday, December 15.  Ken will be out of town.  Call Ken for location and time.  Dennis will be attending with someone.  Free food for attendee and 1 guest.  You can attend if you want.  Call Ken about the cost, also Santa Gift Exchange, only spend $10  (women’s gifts wrap in red, men’s gifts wrap in green).

·                    Council Convention in Ocean City is June 2,3,4 and 5th.  On their website, they would like suggestions on how to make your convention better.  There is a survey on their website.  The link is available on our website.  Some items up for review are the t-shirts, activities, souvenirs.

·                    Polar Bear Plunge – forms available from Mitch or visit our website, you can also donate money there, January 28, we had 8 plungers last year, we raised $5,000, total for all roosts was $48,000, this year we would like more roost members to join in the plunge, we have one lot to park in for roost members, but get their early they fill up fast.  If you bring liquor, please be discreet.  Some get a hotel near the plunge site, ask Mitch about details.  Sandy State Park, registration starts at 10 am and plunge is at 2pm.  The council, the past year, are a gold sponsor, our goal is $50,000, all proceeds go to Maryland Special Olympics.

·                    Ask Mitch about the official tailgate for the plunge for parking and bus transportation if necessary.

 

Membership – Mitch Hooper

No new members this week, we currently have 95 members.

 

Vice President – Dennis Coulhouer

Convention meetings start again in January. 

 

Election of officers were read.  (Need to email me list Dennis).  All spots are filled except Charitable Contributions Committee Chair.

The plunge information is on there, pictures from the Pittsburgh game and information about the Christmas Party.

 

Excursion Trip – Mandy

Ken gave report.  All had a good time.

 

Old Business

Dennis – Nominations close next month.  Please give a yell if you would like to volunteer.

 

Mitch – Merchandise – Santa Hats are due in this week, will be handed out Friday during happy hour 4-7:30pm, $8 range.  Bowling shirts – unable to order because did not meet minimum order (sorry!).

 

Good and Welfare – Mandy’s sister passed away.  Flowers to be sent.
