Ravens Roost #4 was invited by Patuxent Publishing to participate in a Wing Tasting event in August to be published in the October edition of the Howard Magazine. Ten members of Roost #4 served in a panel that evaluated and rated buffalo wings from 5 Howard County establishments known for their wings. The Roost #4 participants were: Bob Caldwell, Karen Suter, Mitch Hooper, Anna & Frosty Volmer, Jaybird Golibart, Ed Powers, Mandy Young, Alan Stanco (sitting-in for his sister and Roost #4 member Denise), and Beth Adams. Wings were evaluated from the following establishments: Bare Bones, The Greene Turtle, Famous Dave's Barbeque, Domino's, and Wings to Go. Bare Bones was the overwhelming favorite, with The Greene Turtle and Famous Dave's also showing well. Domino's and Wings to Go were not worth the effort.
